The Department of Ophthalmology at Wake Forest University School of Medicine & Atrium Health Wake Forest Baptist is seeking a fellowship-trained Cornea Specialist to join our growing academic team. This faculty position offers an exceptional opportunity to combine clinical excellence, teaching, and research in a collaborative and innovative environment.
As a Cornea Specialist at Atrium Health Wake Forest Baptist, you will:
- Provide advanced medical and surgical care for corneal and external eye diseases
- Participate in the education and mentorship of residents and fellows in our robust training programs
- Engage in research initiatives tailored to your interests, with institutional support for academic advancement
- Practice in a brand-new, world-class Eye Institute opening in 2027 in Winston-Salem’s Innovation Quarter—featuring expanded clinic space, surgical suites, advanced imaging, research facilities, and dedicated education areas for training the next generation of ophthalmologists

Requirements
Qualifications:
- MD or DO degree
- Board-certified or board-eligible in Ophthalmology
- Fellowship training in Cornea and External Disease
