The School of Science and Engineering at Al Akhawayn University in Ifrane (AUI) invites applications for full-time faculty positions in Computer Science. Areas of particular interest include Cybersecurity, FinTech, Cloud Computing, Software Engineering, Artificial Intelligence, and Data Science.
Appointment is expected at the rank of Assistant Professor or Associate Professor, commensurate with qualifications and experience. Exceptionally qualified candidates holding a Master’s degree in Computer Science or Data Science with substantial teaching experience may be considered for appointment at the rank of Lecturer.

Al Akhawayn University is accredited by the New England Commission of Higher Education (NECHE), and several degree programs within the School of Science and Engineering are ABET accredited. As an American-style institution operating in English, AUI holds a distinctive position in Morocco and the broader MENA region.
The University is implementing a strategic plan to expand enrollment to 5,000 students by 2030 while further strengthening academic quality and research capacity.
Located in Ifrane in Morocco’s Middle Atlas Mountains, approximately one hour from Fez and Meknes, the University offers a safe, family-friendly environment and high quality of life. An American-style K–12 school is affiliated with the University.

Review of applications will begin March 30, 2026, and continue until the position is filled.
Shortlisted candidates will be invited to participate in a virtual interview and to deliver a 30-minute teaching demonstration. The anticipated start date is between June and August 2026.

Requirements
Qualifications
- Ph.D. in Computer Science, Data Science, Cybersecurity, or a closely related field (required for Assistant or Associate Professor rank).
- Demonstrated commitment to high-quality teaching.
- Evidence of scholarly productivity appropriate to career stage.
- Breadth sufficient to support core and elective offerings in Computer Science
The successful candidate will:
- Teach undergraduate and, where applicable, graduate courses in areas such as Software Engineering, FinTech, Cloud Computing, DevOps, Software Testing, Big Data Analytics, Data Science, and Artificial Intelligence (including Machine Learning and Deep Learning).
- Contribute to the development of specializations and minors within Computer Science.
- Demonstrate the capacity to teach advanced or emerging topics such as Computer Vision, Human–Computer Interaction, Web Mining, Large Language Models, and/or Data Visualization.
- Maintain an active research agenda appropriate to rank.
- Participate in departmental, school, and university service consistent with faculty responsibilities in a liberal arts institution.
- As AUI serves students across multiple disciplines, faculty are expected to teach and engage students from diverse academic backgrounds in addition to those majoring in computing fields.
