This position works with the Sr. Director of Corporate and Foundation Relations (CFR) on all aspects of the team's work, contributing directly to securing $2-5 million annually in funding commitments for faculty research and University programs, initiatives, and strategic priorities. Responsibilities include:
- Identifying and qualifying foundation and corporate prospects and funding opportunities;
- Developing cultivation/solicitation strategies;
- Managing relationships with prospects and donors;
- Preparing letters of inquiry, proposals, and reports, including writing, editing, and/or proofreading;
- Coordinating grant proposal review with the Office of Sponsored Programs and Research; and
- Coordinating post-award stewardship and grants administration, including financial reporting with the Grant Accounting team.
Job Requirements:
Bachelor's degree is required.
Applicants should have 3 to 5 (5-7 preferred) years of corporate and foundation relations or related grant-writing experience in a higher education or similar non-profit environment.
Candidates must have:
- Exceptional writing and editing skills, including being able to translate information from a variety of disciplines for different audiences;
- The ability to work on multiple assignments and meet deadlines;
- Demonstrated attention to detail;
- The ability to work with faculty and staff across campus, and with staff from foundations and corporations; and
- Knowledge of the corporate and foundation relations landscape.
Additional Information:
Expected Hiring Range: $61,700 to $68,150

The compensation for this position will be determined based on factors that include available budget, internal equity, and the selected candidate's qualifications, experience, education, and other job-related credentials. This range represents Clark University's good-faith estimate of the expected hiring range at the time of posting consistent with Clark's compensation philosophy and internal alignment.
