Join UCL and work at the forefront of dementia research within the UCL Dementia Research Centre (DRC) and UK Dementia Research Institute (UKDRI) at UCL.
This is a unique opportunity for a motivated clinician to combine cutting-edge research with clinical practice at the National Hospital for Neurology and Neurosurgery, Queen Square.
Ideal for:
Clinicians pursuing a career in academic neurology with strong clinical training and a passion for research.
The role:
Recruit, consent, and assess research participants
Work with PET/CT brain imaging, lifecourse data, and biobanking
Collaborate across leading UCL research teams
Contribute to impactful, translational dementia research
Clinical training in all aspects of dementia including taking part in clinics
Shape your research focus
You will be supported to develop your own research interests aligned with Prof Jonathan Schott's lab at the UKDRI at UCL, focusing on key priorities such as:
Life-course influences on dementia risk
Resilience to neurodegeneration
Early detection of Alzheimer’s disease
Novel fluid biomarkers
Presymptomatic disease detection
Scalable cognitive assessment in large populations
