Valencia College is hiring a Director of Employee Development to join the Organizational Development and Human Resources team. This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced leader to guide the college-wide strategy for employee learning and development.

In this role, the Director provides strategic leadership in designing and implementing comprehensive professional development programs for staff across the college. The position also includes project-based work, involving the evaluation, assessment, recommendation, and implementation of initiatives that enhance employee growth and organizational impact. We are seeking a strategic and collaborative leader who can innovate and advance the department’s key initiatives, driving forward creative approaches to employee development and training. The ideal candidate will have:

• A bachelor’s degree from a regionally accredited institution, or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience that provides the knowledge, skills, and abilities to perform the essential functions of the role.
• At least four years of experience in the design, implementation, and supervision of employee training and development programs.
• Strong strategic leadership skills, with a proven ability to collaborate and consult effectively across departments.
• Experience leading the coordination of curriculum design, program delivery, and evaluation for employee development initiatives.
• Experience managing projects within the training and development space.
• Proven supervisory experience, with the ability to lead, mentor, and develop staff to achieve departmental goals.
