POSITION SUMMARY: Under the direction of the Elementary Executive Director, the Director of Early Learning and
Specialized programs will develop, coordinate, and manage the Early Learning (P-3) Elementary Education Program for the
school district and serve as the site-based administrator for the Holly Street Early Learning Center. This key leadership
position will also oversee the development, implementation, and evaluation of specialized programs, such as dual
language and highly capable services, with support from other staff. All programs overseen by this director are designed
to support and serve all students, ensure equitable access to education, and foster a culture of inclusion and collaboration.

Requirements

QUALIFICATIONS:
EDUCATION: Master’s or advanced degree from an accredited college or university with an emphasis in educational
leadership or related applicable field preferred.
EXPERIENCE: Five (5) years of successful instructional experience in public schools and effective work with school age
students. Preference given to early learning, elementary level, and special education experience. Three (3) years of
successful building level administrative experience. Prior experience coaching and training adult learners preferred.
REQUIRED TESTING: None Specified
CERTIFICATES & LICENSES: Valid Washington State administrative certificate. Possession of a valid teaching certificate
preferred. First Aid/CPR/AED Certification. Valid WA State driver’s license and appropriate insurance required. Must
maintain as current any certification or license listed herein and held at hire date.
CONTINUING EDUCATION/TRAINING: That which is required to be effective in the position and to maintain certification
as well maintaining current knowledge of curricular requirements, evaluation frameworks, and state and federal
mandates
