Join our TeamNow Hiring: Director of Emergency Medical Programs
The Director of Emergency Medical Programs is an administrative role that reports to the Dean - Health Sciences and is responsible for the administration of all Emergency Medical programs/courses. The Director must follow the guidelines of the NC OEMS for educational programs and work closely with local Emergency Services Agencies to provide training.
Oversee the administration, organization and supervision of the EMS program.
Lead continuous quality review and improvement of the EMS program.
Monitor and ensure compliance with NCOEMS , CoAEMPS, CAAHEP , and the SCC educational program entrance and performance requirements.
Maintain a professional working relationship with the area medical establishments and other related emergency agencies.
Develop contracts, agreements, and placement options for required clinical education and field experience.
Coordinate and manage required contracts and external program agreements for compliance with OEMS standards of educational institutions.
Work in partnership with Occupational Programs in Surry and Yadkin County to plan programs to benefit the entire college service area.
Work in partnership with the Director of Center for Public Safety to plan programs and class space locations.
Responsible for long range planning and ongoing development of the program. Plan and implement new courses of instruction to meet the changing educational needs of the EMS students.
Ensure the effectiveness of the program by evaluating instruction and faculty/staff performance.
Collaborative involvement with the Education Medical Advisor.
Oversee faculty and staff.
