About the Facility:

Hernando Oaks Golf & Country Club is located in Brooksville, Florida . The course features 6,905 yards of golf from the longest tees for a par of 72. The course rating is 73.3 and it has a slope rating of 132 on Bermuda grass.

Designed by Scott Pate, the golf course uses native grass species in the rough areas, keeping the area environmentally friendly for native habitat. The back nine, in particular, provides golfers with a great mix of holes and a sense of seclusion. The final four holes at Hernando Oaks are arguably the best finishing holes in Tampa. 

About the Opportunity:

Hernando Oaks Golf and Country Club is seeking a qualified candidate for its next Director of Golf.

The Director of Golf will have full responsibility for overseeing and managing all golf operations and services, fostering a strong culture of friendship, courtesy, and professionalism throughout the organization. Visibility and engagement are critical success factors for this role.

 

Experience Required

• Must have prior experience running full golf operations, driving rounds and revenues.
• Must understand and be able to run member and public outside events. 

Essential Responsibilities

• Operations & Leadership: Manages the golf shop, cart fleet, practice facilities, and all golf staff, ensuring high-quality member/guest experiences.
• Financial & Retail Management: Develops annual budgets, manages inventory, and ensures profitability through merchandising and revenue growth initiatives.
• Tournament & Event Execution: Plans and executes tournaments, leagues, and special events.
• Communication & Safety: Acts as a liaison between staff and ownership and ensures adherence to golf rules and safety protocols.
• Mentorship: Focuses on staff training, professional development, and career growth for the professional team.
