The Director of Marketing works closely with the Director of Sales and Events to bring to life initiatives within the resort's marketing plans. The plans includes objectives, strategies and tactics for each of the hotel's and residences' market segments (leisure, weddings and group) and outlets (spa, bars and restaurants). The ultimate goal is to heighten market presence, increase positive awareness, strengthen brand loyalty, present consistent brand imagery, increase market share and most importantly, produce increased revenues and profitability. The responsibilities of the Director of Marketing include:
- Work with PR agency in creating and orchestrating activations for unique, signature guest activities and activations
- Manage placement of activations for various seasons
- Work with department heads for staffing and supplies needed for events and activations
- Engages and manages outside contractors and 3td party adventure activities for enhanced guest experiences
- Responsible for the promotions and on/off site marketing of all events and activities
The Senior Marketing Manager will need to be strong in all aspects of digital marketing and social media marketing and will assist in promoting awareness and maintaining a positive brand image of the resort and residences and resort outlets on a local, regional, and national level through consistent and targeted marketing and digital campaigns and public relations. Experience in Adobe and Canva are an asset as creating content and formatting creative will at times be necessary. The Marketing Manager will work closely with the Director of Commercial Strategy as well as the Hyatt Corporate Marketing and Public Relations teams to ensure that the hotel's brand position is present in coverage, messages are compelling and insights and reporting are accurate. This position is on-property and will require a flexible schedule to properly capture and initiate guest experience content with activations and experiences.
Experience requirements:
- 3-5 years experience with brand marketing companies and managing content for social media
- 3-5 years events and activation experience in creative activations and managing marketing events to obtain unique and engaging content for marketing needs and guest enjoyment
- Coordinate and lead a Social Media committee of colleagues.
The budgeted range for this position starts at $70,600. Actual pay will be commensurate with experience.
