OverviewThe Director of Outside Services will oversee all facets of the Outside Services at Charter Oak Country Club, ensuring a seamless and exceptional experience for all members and guests. This pivotal role requires a highly organized and detail-oriented individual who is adept at managing a dynamic calendar of tournaments and events throughout the season. The Director will lead the outside operation and actively foster collaboration among team members, demonstrating a commitment to excellence in every aspect of the Golf Operation.
In addition to practical management skills, the ideal candidate will possess a vibrant and approachable personality, fostering an inviting atmosphere that enhances customer satisfaction. A profound understanding of customer service excellence is essential, as the Director will be tasked with training and guiding staff to deliver top-tier service that aligns with the club's high standards. Experience Required
- Must have experience working outside services at a golf facility.
- Previous Private Club Experience is a plus.
Essential Responsibilities
Specific Responsibilities will include, but not be limited to:
- This position will meet and greet all customers in a warm, friendly, and professional way while following all facility policies and procedures.
- This position will refer all significant problems/complaints to the Director of Outside Operations.
- This position will follow procedures in managing the cart fleet.
- This position will maintain order and continuity of player traffic.
- This position will be responsible for the daily operations of range ball recovery, utilizing both mechanical and hand equipment.
- This position will be responsible for collecting, organizing, and cleaning all range baskets used for ball transportation according to policies and procedures established by management.
- This position will help keep all working areas attractive, neat, clean, and free of trash and waste.
- This position will be responsible for washing the range balls to maintain their cleanliness and usability.
- This position will be responsible for properly opening and closing the cart and range operations.
- This position will be responsible for tracking and reporting the need for supplies necessary for their areas' day-to-day operations.
- This position will contact the golf shop counter to ensure an efficient transition for golfers to the course.
- This position will keep the outside area uncongested, neat, and clean.
- This position will ensure that carts do not clog or disrupt passage to the golf shop, pool, or starter shack. Carts will also be arranged neatly and orderly after being used.
- This position will assist guests with rules and regulations to ensure safety precautions and prevent inconveniences to other guests.
- This position will inspect the condition of golf carts with specific attention to their cleanliness and appearance.
- This position will be responsible for cart cleanliness, supplies, and condition. In addition to rotating golf carts to ensure uniform usage among the fleet.
- This position will spread hospitality and goodwill among all members and make all guests feel welcome. It will also ensure that divot bottles, tees, and scorecards are present and filled on all golf carts and push carts.
- This position will assist golf shop personnel in the tournament setup of golf carts and range operations.
- This position will perform other duties as required.
