Overview

This position will work jointly for the Wisconsin PGA and the WPGA Junior Foundation. The Wisconsin PGA is one of 41 PGA Sections and made up of most of Wisconsin and the western part of the U.P. of Michigan. The WPGA Junior Foundation is a not for profit 501c3 that conducts 160 tournaments, PGA Junior League, DCP, PGA HOPE and provides scholarships for eligible juniors.

Position Title - Director of Player Development

Reports To - Executive Director/Joe Stadler, PGA

Status - Full-time salaried employee

Location - West Allis, Wisc. (suburb of Milwaukee)

Job Summary - This position will have a key role in many WPGA and WPGA Junior Foundation activities. The ideal candidate must be self sufficient, a great team player, strong communicator, detail oriented and creative. Must be able to multi-task.

Experience Required

• Candidate must be passionate about the game of golf and about working with people
• Excellent with all forms of communication
• Proficient with various social media platforms
• Strong skills in event management
• Computer skills in various programs including G Suite Google, MS Office, Canva, MailChimp, Adobe, Word Press, Workday, BlueGolf
• Ability to work collaboratively and solo
• Willing to travel mostly throughout Wisconsin with some weekend work and some long days
• Present self in professional manner
• Valid driver's license

Essential Responsibilities

Job Summary: Our new Director of Player Development will primarily work on the following:

• Oversee all aspects of PGA HOPE Wisconsin including programs, leagues and PGA HOPE Wisconsin Cup
• Coordinate PGA Junior League including Wisconsin All-Star Section Championship
• Oversee Drive, Chip & Putt for all of Wisconsin PGA
• Oversee the WPGA's PAT offerings
• Work with various WPGA Committees including education, membership and assistants
• Assist with WPGA and WPGA Junior Foundation tournaments
• Coordinate WPGA Special Awards and meetings with ED
• Communicate with WPGA Members/Associates on membership items including PGA PGM 3.1, PDR's, etc
• Create social media content and various other communication methods
• Oversee PGA WORKS Fellow in coordination with ED
