JOB SUMMARY: The Director of Teaching and Learning provides leadership for implementing an effective curricular, instructional and professional learning program that enhances student learning. The Director of Teaching and Learning ensures the District’s commitment to equity is integrated into all facets of program initiatives.

Requirements

Possess or be eligible for a Washington Administrator Certificate.
Possess or be eligible for a current Washington State teaching certificate
Master’s degree or higher in educational administration and/or curriculum and instruction, or related field.
Minimum five years of experience as a principal and/or educational director or leader in a related field preferred.
Significant experience at scale in leading innovation, teaching, curriculum, professional learning and assessment.
Significant experience in working through multiple layers of management in organizations to achieve results.
Experience teaching youth under the age of 21 and leading adult learning experiences.
Experience working directly with people from diverse cultural, racial, ethnic, gender, sexual orientation, ability and socio-economic backgrounds, preferred.
