OverviewMohawk Golf & Country Club is a private, member-owned club located in Tiffin, Ohio, featuring a classic Donald Ross-designed 18-hole golf course, extensive practice facilities, a seasonal pool, and casual food & beverage services.
With approximately 250 members and room to grow, Mohawk offers exceptional value and a welcoming community atmosphere.
We are seeking a dynamic and experienced General Manager & Director of Golf to lead all aspects of club operations, drive strategic growth, and deliver outstanding member experience.
The General Manager is the operating officer of Mohawk Golf & Country Club, responsible for overseeing all day-to-day operations, staff leadership, financial management, and member services. Reporting directly to the Board of Directors, the GM will implement strategic initiatives, manage resources, and ensure the club operates with excellence, efficiency, and hospitality.
Experience Required
Minimum 5 years of leadership experience in private club, golf, hospitality, or recreational operations.
Strong financial acumen and budgeting skills.
Proven ability to lead and develop teams.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Certified or aspiring PGA professional preferred.
Familiarity with golf operations and seasonal club services preferred.
Bachelor's degree in business, hospitality, or related field preferred.
Essential Responsibilities
Lead and manage all club departments: golf operations, greens & grounds, food & beverage, pool, and administration.
Develop and execute annual operating and capital budgets.
Recruit, train, and supervise staff across all functions.
Maintain high standards of member satisfaction, service, and engagement.
Oversee vendor relationships, contracts, and compliance.
Collaborate with the Board and committees to implement strategic goals.
Ensure safety, cleanliness, and readiness of all club facilities.
Promote membership growth and retention through marketing and outreach.
