Description
As an Executive Director in Global FIG Solutions, you will sit on the public side and focus on developing financial solutions for insurance companies in the UK/Bermuda region, primarily partnering closely with our UK sales teams across asset classes (credit, rates, equity). You will join sales teams on client calls and meetings, providing specialist industry and product knowledge to identify and address balance sheet, capital and liquidity client problems. This client-facing role involves identifying opportunities, marketing the business, and providing expertise throughout the deal lifecycle. You will coordinate closely with Trading, Sales, Structuring teams, and potentially our Investment Banking industry team.Job responsibilities include:
- Generate industry specialist content and trade ideas for insurance clients
- Develop relationships through our sales teams with ALM teams at key clients
- Develop models and simulations to monitor the impact of market movements on client balance sheets
- Participate and drive the execution of high value / strategic transactions with insurance clients across asset classes and in partnership with our sales, structuring and trading partners
Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills:
- In-depth understanding of UK/Bermuda (re)insurance clients
- Cross-product expertise (rates, FX, Credit, equity) to drive transactions
- Insurance knowledge requirements (regulatory, rating agency, accounting, investor disclosures)
- Strong communication skills
This role encompasses the performance of UK regulated activity. The successful candidate will therefore be subject to meeting UK regulatory requirements in the assessment of fitness, propriety, knowledge and competence (as assessed by the Firm) and (where appropriate) approval by the UK Financial Conduct Authority and/or the Prudential Regulation Authority to carry out such activities.
