Description
Are you interested in developing your professional skills or enhancing them as an analyst in the Indirect Tax Operations function within Global Supplier Services? If so, this is the role for you.As an Analyst within the Global Supplier Services Indirect Tax Operations, you will engage in a variety of processes with the core being taxation and will be required to have understanding and knowledge in accounting as well. You will play a crucial role in the company, contributing to the success of our businesses, clients, customers, and employees. As part of GSS Operations, the Indirect Tax Operations Team, your responsibilities will include understanding of certain taxation regulations, assessing invoices to understand whether or not tax is applicable as well as performing various control reconciliations where needed to ensure accuracy and timeliness.
Job Responsibilities
- Preparation of reconciliations and tax returns, return filing and payment according to strict deadlines as per regulators.
- Supporting queries from and partnering with local and/or global tax and finance colleagues ensuring world class customer experience.
- Review of invoices and tax related documents to determine tax applicability.
- Work with Lines of Businesses to identify, investigate, and resolve required documentation within agreed timelines.
- Ensure any issues or concerns are promptly raised and ownership taken to drive a resolution.
- Operate with a focus on controls and risk to ensure compliance in all tasks.
- Contribute to a continuous improvement culture by identifying opportunities to enhance process quality, delivery efficiency, and customer experience.
Required Qualifications, Capabilities, and Skills
- Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills, with outstanding analytical, organizational, and research skills.
- Degree in tax/accounting/finance or relevant work experience.
- Functional understanding of Indirect Tax.
- Ability to interact independently with both, Lines of Businesses and with the immediate internal department.
- Ability to collaborate and work with a team
- Strong time management and prioritization skills while being able to multitask.
- Proficiency in MS Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
- Strong oral and written communication skills.
Preferred Qualifications, Capabilities, and Skills
- SAP knowledge is a plus
