Join us in driving the transformation of the commercial vehicle industry into the digital world. As a trainee, you will gain deep insights into various areas of the MAN Truck & Bus company and the TRATON Group in this 15-months program. We are a large group of companies that is active on all continents. That means a lot of interfaces you'll be working with. With your ideas, you will advance our truck program of the future. Your home area Project Procurement Manager in Procurement Cabin & Electronics

Project Procurement Leadership

• Drive seamless coordination within the 3-Ring Model, working closely with the Strategic Buyer and SQA Quality Engineer to ensure a fully transparent and aligned procurement approach across the entire project lifecycle.
• Lead the sourcing and awarding of Electronics, ADAS, HMI, and Software components for designated vehicle and system projects.
• Manage RFQ processes end-to-end, including commercial analysis, offer evaluation, and preparation of award recommendations.
• Own cost, timing, and quality targets for all assigned components from project kickoff through SOP.
• Prepare high-quality decision documents for internal committees and jointly deliver presentations together with the Strategic Buyer.
• Collaborate within agile cross-functional teams to secure the optimal technology choices that meet project timelines, budget expectations, and quality requirements.

Commodity Strategy Contribution

• Partner with the Strategic Buyer to shape and continuously improve commodity strategies across electronics-related domains (e.g., sensors, ECUs, wiring systems, embedded software components).
• Track market movements, technology trends, and supplier developments within the electronics sector and translate insights into strategic recommendations.

Cross-Functional Collaboration

• Work closely with R&D, Quality, Controlling, Logistics, and additional stakeholders to ensure alignment of technical specifications and commercial objectives.
• Coordinate with SQA to confirm supplier capability and adherence to quality standards throughout all development phases.

Supplier Management

• Serve as the primary operational interface for suppliers, overseeing discussions on specifications, quotations, timelines, and change management.
• Support risk assessment, escalation handling, and proactive mitigation measures within your component scope.
• Travel to strategic suppliers as needed to strengthen partnerships, evaluate on-site progress, and support onboarding of new suppliers.

Your qualifications

• Excellently completed studies (Master's/Diploma) in the Business Administration, Industrial Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or a comparable field..
• You have a wide range of practical experience through industrial internships or working student activities, preferably in the areas Engineering, Procurement or Project Management.
• You have strengthened your intercultural competence through at least 3 months of experience abroad.
• You are characterized by your independent, creative and committed way of working.
• As a team player, you have a high level of motivation and willingness to learn for personal development in an international working environment.
• You are enthusiastic about innovations and future trends in the commercial vehicle industry.
• Fluent language skills in English round off your profile.
