Join us to build, learn, and lead with impact.As a Lead QIS Research Analyst within the Strategic Indices team, you will formulate and advance research into systematic investment applications across asset classes with a focus on portfolio construction. You will translate broad market research hypotheses into rigorous tests, partner with trading to bring timing signals and publish insights that elevate our franchise. You will uphold strong research governance, ensuring models are robust, documented, and reproducible. You will thrive in a collaborative environment that values curiosity, integrity, and client outcomes.
Job responsibilities
- Lead research on quantitative investment strategies portfolio construction.
- Formulate timing investment signals; design robust backtests and stress tests.
- Analyze alpha drivers, transaction costs, and portfolio construction trade-offs.
- Partner with trading and sales to deploy signals and monitor live performance.
Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills
- Advanced degree in a quantitative or finance field or equivalent experience.
- Extensive experience in QIS research
- Strong knowledge of statistical inference, time-series analysis, and econometrics.
- Experience with portfolio construction, optimization, and transaction cost modeling.
- Clear, concise communication skills with a track record of writing research and presenting to clients or senior stakeholders.
- Commitment to risk management, governance, and control frameworks for models and data.
Preferred qualifications, capabilities, and skills
- Experience across multiple asset classes (equities, rates, FX, commodities, credit).
- Hands-on experience with alternative data sourcing, evaluation, and compliance.
- Record of published research, whitepapers, or conference presentations.
- Experience building dashboards and monitoring for signal and portfolio KPIs.
- Track record of mentoring, setting research standards, and leading cross-functional initiatives.
