SUMMARY
The Maintenance Supervisor will oversee all maintenance activities within our dairy manufacturing plant to ensure optimal functioning of equipment and facilities.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Direct and coordinate activities of technicians engaged in repair, maintenance, and installation of machines, tools and equipment, and in maintenance of buildings and grounds.
- Coordinate and oversee preventative maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of all machinery and equipment used in production.
- Manage maintenance of the plant's infrastructure, including building utilities, HVAC systems, and wastewater treatment facilities, ensuring compliance with relevant regulations and standards.
- Maintain inventory of spare parts and equipment, ensuring adequate supplies are available to minimize downtime and facilitate timely repairs.
- Active engagement in waste reduction, including machine downtime reduction and throughput improvements.
- Establish and maintain communication across shifts and departments, including shift notes, in-person pass-downs, shift meetings, etc.
- Supports SQF by maintaining food safety and food quality through completing job tasks and keeping the work area in a sanitary manner.
- Must be available (on-call) to handle maintenance-related emergencies that occur during off-shift hours, including holidays and weekends.
- Other duties as assigned by the Chief Engineer.
BASIC REQUIREMENTS
- High School diploma or general education degree (GED) required.
- Minimum of 5 years of industrial maintenance experience required.
- At least 1 year of supervisory experience is required.
- Electrical experience preferred.
