NURSING FACULTY (OPEN RANK) SIMULATION LSU Health New Orleans School of Nursing is seeking a highly motivated individual to join our faculty as a school of nursing excellence within an academic health sciences center environment. Our nursing faculty have the opportunity to educate future nurses at the BSN, MN/MSN, PhD and DNP level, including state-of-art simulation laboratories; conduct nursing & interdisciplinary research; engage in faculty practice, including our nurse-run clinics; pursue entrepreneurial and consultative activities; and serve as a nursing leader and development of leadership skills through our Emergent Nurse Leader Program. We invite you to submit your curriculum vitae for the following faculty position: Simulation Faculty. Incumbent will provide instructional and technical support for the day-to-day operations in the human simulation educational laboratories at our Off Campus Instructional Site: Baton Rouge, under the direction of our Nursing Skills & Technology Center; support all clinical learning lab and simulated patient care learning experiences to successfully complete evidence-based learning opportunities in simulated patient care environments. Minimum Qualifications Masters degree in Nursing or related field. Doctorate Degree required for the rank of Assistant Professor or above. Ability to effectively manage a highly complex and high paced laboratory environment with careful attention to details and safety; Knowledge of computer hardware and software applications relevant to simulation & learning labs; Ability to collaborate. Preferred Qualifications Doctorate degree in Nursing or Health related field BLS CPR Instructor certification (also ACLS and/or PALS) Experience working with/and disposal of chemicals & bio-hazardous materials and familiarity with state & federal regulations; Experience in maintaining simulation laboratory inventories, supplies & equipment.
