Your Team responsibilities
MSCI, Inc. seeks a OneMSCI Solutions Researcher in Mexico City to support the development of interactive research experiences across asset classes. The team’s mission is to integrate MSCI’s data, indexes, analytics, ESG/Climate, real estate, and private assets into a seamless, client-centric front-end experience. The role will focus on using data visualization, AI-enabled tools, and rapid prototyping to translate MSCI’s research into actionable insights for various client segments. You will work closely with colleagues in Research & Development, product teams, and client coverage to create immersive solutions that redefine how clients engage with MSCI research and address market challenges.
Your key responsibilities
- Leverage MSCI data and research to develop interactive visualizations, dashboards, and applications that showcase insights across asset classes.
- Use AI-powered tools (e.g., Cursor AI and other natural language interfaces), and visualization frameworks to create client-facing research applications.
- Deliver research using MSCI data that can be delivered using Jupyter Notebooks and Streamlit apps as alternatives to Excel and PowerPoint.
- Participate in client discussions, identify research needs, and help deliver scalable, impactful applications that address investment challenges.
- Stay informed on industry innovations (e.g., natural language query tools, competitor platforms) and integrate relevant features into OneMSCI front-end solutions.
Requirements
Specific Knowledge and skills:
- Bachelor’s or graduate degree in Data Science, Engineering, Computer Science, Mathematics, Quantitative Finance, or related field. CFA or advanced quantitative credentials are a plus.
- 3–5 years of relevant experience in financial research, data visualization, or solution prototyping within asset management, fintech, or related fields.
- Strong technical and quantitative background, with hands-on expertise in SQL, Python, visualization libraries (Plotly, Matplotlib), and rapid prototyping tools (Streamlit, Dash).
- Ability to collaborate across multi-disciplinary teams (research, product, engineering) and translate complex research into intuitive client-facing applications.
- Strong communication and presentation skills in English, with the ability to articulate research insights and demonstrate interactive tools to clients.
