Overview

Heritage Oaks Golf Club is a Northbrook Park District facility with 27-holes of public golf, a practice range equipped with TrackMan Range technology, indoor golf featuring two Full Swing golf simulators, and a full-service restaurant, the Acorn Grill + Terrace. HOGC is home to the Northbrook Golf Academy, offering adult and youth player development, junior leagues, camps and clinics.

We are looking for a motivated Assistant Golf Professional to lead outside golf operation services, supervising starters, on-course player assistants, bag drop attendants and practice range staff. Professional staff may have opportunity to provide group instruction with the Northbrook Golf Academy pending coaching experience.

Experience Required

• Associate's degree from a college or golf industry school.
• Candidate must be a registered associate professional in good standing with PGA of America.
• Three years of golf operations experience including staff leadership and supervision.
• Knowledge and experience with tee sheet management and pace-of-play best practices.
• Working knowledge of tee sheet software GolfNow or EZ Links and Tournament software such as Golf Genius

Essential Responsibilities

• Assist daily golf operations providing exceptional customer service to all guests.
• Hire, train, supervise, and evaluate the performance of outside service seasonal staff.
• Collaborate with professional staff to support special events, tournaments, and outing play.
• Oversee practice range setup, equipment, and picking schedules and procedures.
• Manage golf car fleet utilization, GPS functionality, procedures, and safety standards.
• Perform opening and closing procedures for the golf shop and clubhouse.
• Instruct group player development programs within the standards of the Northbrook Golf Academy.
