About Us *Phlebotomy Training Program Student* *Shift - Day Monday-Friday 4 Weeks Virtual classroom Training and 4 Weeks Clinical on-site* *The Baylor Scott and White Health Phlebotomy training program is designed to be a gateway to bring quality phlebotomist into the BSWH system. Individuals who successfully complete this program will be offered the opportunity for full-time permanent employment; however, employment is not guaranteed.* *The program is 8 weeks in duration with an average of 35-40 hours of training and instructions per week. The course is broken down into two parts: virtual classroom instructions and on onsite clinical experience. Job Summary The Phlebotomist 1 collects and processes quality specimens safely, following BSWH policies and procedures. Aids in delivering exceptional patient care. Essential Functions of the Role * Follows all established specimen collection, labeling, transportation, and handling procedures. * Responsible for high customer satisfaction through professional and ethical conduct. * Performs job responsibilities in an efficient and effective manner. * Demonstrates engagement with achieving department goals and continuous improvement. * Performs clerical duties. Diploma/GED Equivalent * EXPERIENCE - Less than 1 Year of Experience
