Join our pioneering team in Amazon's new initiative in Japan, where we're establishing new benchmarks in ultra-fast delivery service. As a Program Manager, you'll play a critical role in shaping and scaling our ultra-fast delivery operations while optimizing performance and cost metrics. You'll collaborate with partner teams to establish optimal channel share for on-road operations, while identifying and resolving operational blockers from both process and product perspectives.In this strategic position, you'll partner with key stakeholders to execute enhancement programs and develop automated reporting systems for improved visibility. Your analytical capabilities will drive thorough root cause analysis and corrective actions, optimizing resource utilization while maintaining service quality. The role demands proactive identification of improvement opportunities, management of cost metrics, and driving efficiency through innovative solutions in our ultra-fast delivery ecosystem.
Key job responsibilities
• Drive the expansion of Amazon` new business operations across Japan through data-driven strategy and execution.
• Develop and optimize channel distribution strategies for last-mile delivery operations, working closely with cross-functional teams.
• Streamline processes by identifying and resolving operational bottlenecks affecting driver experience and delivery performance.
• Lead enhancement programs and develop automated reporting systems to improve performance visibility and decision-making
• Conduct deep-dive analyses to implement corrective actions and optimize resource utilization while maintaining balance between operational excellence and cost effectiveness
• Work with Topology, Transport Planning and Supply Chain teams to capture and align on volume, expansion plan, understanding and sanity checking assumptions;
• Communicate and drive long term initiatives, actively work to remove bottlenecks and create scalable mechanisms and use Network Planning knowledge to influence process enhancements.
A day in the life
Your day begins with reviewing performance metrics to understand actuals versus plan, identifying gaps that need attention. You'll analyze data patterns to spot improvement opportunities in delivery operations and collaborate with stakeholders to address them. Throughout the day, you'll participate in cross-functional meetings to align on channel planning strategies and work with operational teams to resolve bottlenecks. You'll balance strategic planning with tactical execution to ensure continuous improvement in our ecosystem.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
- 3+ years of program or project management experience
- 3+ years of working cross functionally with tech and non-tech teams experience
- 3+ years of defining and implementing process improvement initiatives using data and metrics experience
- Bachelor's degree
- Knowledge of Excel (Pivot Tables, VLookUps) at an advanced level and SQL
- Experience defining program requirements and using data and metrics to determine improvements
- Speak, write, and read fluently in English
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
- 3+ years of driving end to end delivery, and communicating results to senior leadership experience
- 3+ years of driving process improvements experience
- Experience in stakeholder management, dealing with multiple stakeholders at varied levels of the organization
- Experience building processes, project management, and schedules
- Master's degree
- Speak, write, and read fluently in Japanese
