Job Overview
We are seeking a highly motivated and qualified Postdoctoral Research Fellow to join our research team. The successful candidate will engage in cutting-edge research in computational chemistry, tribochemistry, machine learning, and high-throughput surface chemistry and battery research. This position offers an excellent opportunity to conduct independent and collaborative research, publish high-impact academic papers, and grow professionally in a dynamic academic environment. The salary will be discussed during the candidate interview. 

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct independent research projects under the guidance of Associate Professor Jing Yang, focusing on computational chemistry, computational materials science, machine learning applications in materials, or related interdisciplinary fields.
• Design and implement research plans, analyze data, and interpret results to produce high-quality academic outputs.
• Publish research findings as first author in top-tier international academic journals.
• Collaborate with team members on interdisciplinary research projects, participate in academic discussions, and attend team meetings.
• Assist in guiding graduate students (if needed) and contribute to the overall development of the research team.
• Keep abreast of the latest research progress in the field and propose innovative research ideas.

Requirements

1. Educational Background: PhD degree in Chemistry, Materials Science, or related disciplines. Candidates with research backgrounds in computational materials science, multi-scale simulation, and interdisciplinary materials research using machine learning are strongly preferred.
2. Academic Achievements: Good command of English (both written and spoken). Must have published academic papers as the first author in well-known international journals.
3. Professional Abilities: Strong ability to conduct independent scientific research, with a solid theoretical foundation and computational skills relevant to the research field. Excellent team spirit, communication skills, and high work execution.
4. Freshly graduated Ph.D. is welcome.
5. Other: Passion for scientific research, proactive work attitude, and ability to work independently and efficiently.
