Job Summary
This position supports the mission of providing high-quality human services that help individuals and families achieve safety, independence, and overall well-being. The selected candidate will assist leadership in ensuring that all directives, laws, and policies related to the Child Support Enforcement Program are effectively implemented.
The Program Consultant Senior plays a key role in research, policy development, and operational support for the Child Support Enforcement Program, helping to promote strong, self-reliant families through enforcement and collection of child support. The position involves providing expert-level consultation, supporting executive management, and ensuring compliance with state and federal regulations.
Key Responsibilities
Serve as an active member of the assigned office’s leadership team.
Participate in task forces, workgroups, committees, or other delegated initiatives.
Assist in child support policy development by recommending, drafting, and researching proposals to advance program goals.
Research, analyze, and evaluate state and federal policies and training matters for leadership review.
Provide well-informed recommendations to support executive-level decisions.
Analyze the implications of program decisions, recognizing that errors could have significant legal and compliance consequences.
Provide direct support to the Director of Operations and the Division of Child Support Enforcement.
Requirements
Minimum Qualifications
Comprehensive working knowledge of the Child Support Enforcement program, including the federal child support system, policies, and their role in promoting family stability.
Understanding of collection techniques, financial management, and budgetary practices.
Strong organizational, analytical, and critical-thinking skills.
Excellent written and verbal communication abilities.
Proficient in applying problem-solving techniques to a wide range of issues.
Ability to analyze district-level activity and productivity data.
Skilled in interpreting and applying federal and state laws, regulations, and policies.
Capable of analyzing, implementing, and evaluating complex legislation.
Ability to plan, prioritize, and manage multiple projects or assignments independently.
Strong interpersonal and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively with internal and external stakeholders.
Proven ability to deliver timely resolutions, meet deadlines, and maintain a customer-focused approach.
Ability to build and maintain cooperative relationships with diverse individuals and organizations.
Effective time management and problem-solving capabilities.
Additional Considerations
Intermediate proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, including Excel, Word, and Power BI.
