- Program Director (Voter Registration)
Description
The Missouri Inclusive Democracy Fund, a decade-long effort to achieve racial equity in the Missouri electorate, seeks a Program Director to plan and run a multi-modal, statewide voter registration program. The Program Director is a full-time, salaried position through the 2026 cycle, with the intention for the role to become permanent within the Fund.
Core Responsibilities:
- Lead the planning of a voter registration program that includes mail, site-based field, and digital registration, utilizes targeting and data analysis of the Missouri electorate to identify prioritized areas of the state, and sets quantifiable monthly and geographic goals;
- Build and maintain relationships with organizations and vendors with track records of working in and with underrepresented communities of color with the intention of partnering with them and funding their registration programs;
- Work with the organizations and vendors as grantees and partners to create and advance registration program plans and budgets that contribute to the overall, statewide goals;
- Develop an analysis of the voter registration landscape in Missouri organizations to make grantmaking recommendations;
- Support, and coach partner organizations and vendors to conduct program activities throughout the state, including training of registration staff and canvassers, implementing registration best practices, and creating and using registration tracking and quality control processes;
- Consistently track and discuss with partners all program activities, including voter registration efforts training and quality control, program budgeting, and crisis response;
- Develop and maintain relationships with local election authority leadership to ensure consistent coordination and communication.

Requirements
- One to two cycles of experience running a field voter registration program, with experience planning and building the program preferred;
- Skills and experience in managing others to success;
- Experience building relationships with community organizations and partnering on voter outreach programs;
- Strategic, able to make programmatic choices that are grounded in the current ecosystem and connected longer term equity outcomes;
- Proficiency utilizing data and testing in a campaign setting, including familiarity with VAN and Excel;
- Ability to multi-task in a fast-moving campaign environment with attention to detail;
- Proactive problem solver;
- Willingness to travel throughout the state as needed, sometimes on short notice;
- Must respect and believe in the power of grassroots organizations to engage voters;
- Must have a driver’s license, valid auto insurance, reliable transportation, and personal cell phone.
- Must be based in Missouri.
