Job Description

• Review and validate all plumbing and piping design drawings, material specifications, and shop drawings submitted by contractors.
• Ensure compliance with standards regulatory requirements.
• Provide engineering solutions for design issues, clashes, or site constraints.
• Coordinate with the design team for RFIs, design changes, and technical clarifications.
• Monitor daily site progress to ensure installation works are executed per approved drawings and quality standards.
• Conduct inspection and testing of piping systems, including pressure testing, flushing, chlorination, hydrostatic testing, and leak testing.
• Verify material deliveries and ensure they meet approved specifications.
• Conduct regular QA/QC checks to ensure high-quality installation of:
  • Domestic water systems
  • Wastewater and stormwater systems
  • Pumping systems
  • Fuel piping
  • Cooling tower or chiller piping (if applicable)
  • Fire protection piping (if scope overlaps with MEP)
• Liaise with civil, structural, MEP, and other disciplines for interface coordination.
• Attend technical meetings with contractors, vendors, and client representatives.
• Coordinate with equipment suppliers for installation requirements and technical support.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
• Minimum 5-10 years experience in plumbing/piping installation in building or industrial projects; experience in data centre projects is highly preferred.
• Familiar with mechanical and piping standards.
• Strong understanding of HVAC chilled water piping, fuel systems, drain/waste systems, RO/water treatment (if applicable), and pump systems.
• Experience working within PMC, EPC, or main contractor environments.
• Strong coordination and leadership skills.
