Job Title: Regional Field Director
Campaign: Senator EdMarkey (D-MA), 2026 Re-Election Campaign
Location: Multiple regions across Massachusetts (based regionally with travel throughout assigned area)

Senator Ed Markey is a proven progressive leader with a deep record of delivering for Massachusetts—from championing climate action and reproductive freedom to taking on corporate special interests. As he seeks re-election in 2026, the campaign is building a dynamic, grassroots-driven operation to meet the moment—and we’re looking for experienced Regional Field Directors to help lead the organizing effort across the Commonwealth.
Role Overview:
Reporting to the Deputy Campaign Manager, Regional Field Directors will manage teams of field organizers and volunteers to implement the campaign’s statewide organizing plan in their assigned regions. They will be responsible for executing voter contact goals, building relationships with local leaders and organizations, and fostering a culture of collaboration, accountability, and enthusiasm among staff and volunteers.
Key Responsibilities:
- Regional Strategy & Execution: Develop and implement regional field plans to meet voter contact and organizing goals.
- Staff Management: Supervise, train, and mentor a team of field organizers, ensuring strong performance and alignment with campaign goals.
- Volunteer Engagement: Recruit, train, and mobilize volunteers to participate in canvassing, phone banking, text banking, and relational organizing.
- Data Management: Track metrics in VAN and other tools to monitor progress and inform adjustments in strategy.
- Coalition Building: Partner with local elected officials, organizations, and community leaders to strengthen the campaign’s presence and outreach.
- Event Coordination: Support planning and execution of campaign events, rallies, and volunteer activations across the region.
- Accountability: Regularly report regional progress and key insights to the Organizing Director and senior field staff.
Requirements
Qualifications:
2–4 years of political campaign or organizing experience; regional or statewide campaign experience preferred.
Based in Massachusetts or willing to relocate.
Demonstrated success in managing staff or large volunteer teams.
Strong organizational and communication skills, with an ability to motivate and inspire others.
Experience using VAN or similar voter contact databases.
Willingness to work long, irregular hours in a fast-paced campaign environment.
Commitment to progressive values and the mission of the campaign.
The salary for this position is $6,500 per month and includes comprehensive healthcare benefits.
