- Research Associate in Hydrogen Deuterium Exchange Mass Spectrometry of Membrane Proteins
Description
We are looking for a mass spectrometrist and/or analytical chemist who is self-motivated, highly organised and works as part of a team. The project involves the development of HDX-MS strategies to study the structure and dynamics of bacterial secretesome. In particular, the project will develop the hydrogen deuterium exchange mass spectrometry (HDX-MS) technology to interrogate the conformational dynamics of multi-proteins complexes involved in bacterial translocation and within their native environment.
Requirements
Essential skills and duties include:
Hands on experience on HDX-MS of membrane proteins
Experience in working with robotic systems for HDX workflows
Excellent technical skills in sample preparation and HDX-MS data analysis
Extensive and up-to-date theoretical and practical knowledge in working with membrane proteins.
Extensive experience in working with membrane proteins and developing related methods
Working with other laboratory members to develop methods and contribute in maintaining equipment
