Overview: We are currently seeking a clinical research fellow for 1- or 2-year commitment to spearhead clinical studies in the Department of Emergency Medicine at Maimonides Medical Center, Brooklyn, NY that is supported by the grant funding from the Empire Clinical Research Investigator Program (ECRIP) in the State of New York. The research fellow will be responsible for conducting research in the area of ED pain management by actively enrolling subjects, collecting data, abstracting and analyzing data, maintaining and organizing study regulatory documents, developing site study materials, maintaining study databases, and preparing and submitting manuscript for publication. This is a full-time position (minimum 35 hours per week) with full benefits.
Requirements
In order to qualify, an eligible candidate must meet the following criteria:
Be enrolled in or have completed a graduate medical education (GME) program in the United States or Canada
Be a citizen, national or permanent resident of the United States or Canada
Satisfy one or more of the following requirements:
be a graduate of a medical, dental or podiatric school located in New York State
be a graduate of or a resident in a GME program which is sponsored by an institution that is located in New York State, or
reside in New York State resides in New York State at the time the clinical research plan is submitted to the State
Additionally, the eligible candidate must possess excellent organizational, problem-solving, writing and analytical skills.
Have proficiency in computer software systems including MS Office Suite
Have experience with electronic data management, and citation management programs
