Job overview and responsibilities
The Charter Department operates much like a small "airline within the airline", selling, planning and executing private chartered flights for professional and collegiate sports teams, the U.S. Military and corporate customers. The Senior Analyst, Charter Business Operations supports the reporting, operational, and financial needs of the organization by creating accurate and timely reporting and analysis for internal stakeholders and managing billing/payments to external vendors/entities. This role also reviews select requests for aircraft availability and feasibility in order to develop and present bids. This position plays a key role in coordinating within Charters and across departments to ensure visibility and integrity of revenue, costs and operational data.
- Reporting & Analytics: Develop, update and distribute recurring and ad-hoc reports related to charter revenue, billing/costs, and operations with precision including proactively troubleshooting discrepancies
- Maintain databases housing flight activity, revenue and airport/operational detail
- Billing: Ensure accurate customer billing by validating invoices prior to processing payment
- Bidding: Determine feasibility and submit bids for US Military and ad-hoc charter requests, which may include preparing pricing and submitting bids in a timely manner
- Reporting Integrity & Process Improvement: Identify opportunities to improve reporting, streamline processes and improve accuracy of Business Operations functions
- Business Coordination: Key point of contact for internal stakeholders, providing data and summaries to support decision making related to Charters
NOTE: This position provides a hybrid work arrangement including working approximately 50% of the time onsite at our Chicago office location and remotely.
Qualifications
What's needed to succeed (Minimum Qualifications):
- Bachelor's degree or 4 years of relevant work experience
- 3+ years of experience in airline analysis/reporting, accounting/billing, operations support or relevant field
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel (including formulas, pivot tables, charts, reporting)
- Familiarity with billing and/or accounting fundamentals
- Keen attention to detail and ability to identify/resolve data issues
- Strong communication skills for varied end-users including both internal and external customers
- Comfortable working in a dynamic operational support role
- Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple projects
- Must be legally authorized to work in the United States for any employer without sponsorship
- Successful completion of interview required to meet job qualification
- Reliable, punctual attendance is an essential function of the position
The base pay range for this role is $81,795.00 to $106,602.00.
The base salary range/hourly rate listed is dependent on job-related, factors such as experience, education, and skills. This position is also eligible for bonus and/or long-term incentive compensation awards.
