Description
The Airports, Borders, and Security Business Area of Leidos is seeking a Senior Program Manager to lead the Operations and Sustainment (O&S) of our customer’s persons of interest database and software systems while developing the next generation of cloud-based systems for operation on the customer’s high-side networks. This exciting role combines the ability to lead Agile SCRUM development teams as well as applying your extensive technical knowledge to solve real-world problems for our Law Enforcement and Intelligence Community customers. If you are interested in serving in a key personnel role supporting national security while applying your management and technical skills to lead a large, diverse team of developers, then this is the role for you.Primary Responsibilities
- Responsible for all aspects of the development and implementation of assigned projects and provides a single point of contact for those projects.
- Takes projects from original concept through final implementation.
- Interfaces with all areas affected by the project including end users, computer services, and client services.
- Defines project scope and objectives.
- Develops detailed work plans, schedules, project estimates, resource plans, and status reports.
- Conducts project meetings and is responsible for project tracking and analysis.
- Ensures adherence to quality standards and reviews project deliverables.
- Manages the integration of vendor tasks and tracks and reviews vendor deliverables.
- Provides technical and analytical guidance to project team.
- Recommends and takes action to direct the analysis and solutions of problems.
Basic Qualifications
- Minimum of 5 years of experience managing large teams of 20+ employees and operating across multiple large and complex systems.
- The successful candidate will possess in-depth knowledge and understanding of the technology as well as proven experience managing a task of this size and scope.
- This position will require regular travel between Winchester, VA and Washington, DC work locations. Due to the hybrid telework/onsite nature of this program, the candidate shall have proven experience successfully managing large technical teams geographically dispersed and/or remotely located.
- Experience leading cutting edge development and SECDEVOPS teams demonstrating the ability to stay on the most up to date technology and cloud systems.
- Experience managing a large-scale program (50+ FTE) providing microservice development in a cloud environment.
Preferred Qualifications
- Current SAFe Agilist (SA) Certification.

Pay Range:
Pay Range $131,300.00 - $237,350.00
