About the Role:
We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Supply Chain Automation Leader to drive innovation and optimization within AMET supply chain operations, leveraging the power of Amazon Web Services (AWS) while bringing strong AFT/SCOT expertise. This role will be instrumental in identifying, developing, and implementing automation solutions that improve efficiency, improve results, reduce costs, and enhance the overall customer experience. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of leading complex automation projects, a deep understanding of supply chain processes, and a passion for leveraging AWS and SCOT technologies, including AI/ML services, to solve challenging problems. This role will require strong leadership, technical acumen, and the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
Key Responsibilities:
• \tStrategy Development: Develop and execute a comprehensive automation strategy aligned with Amazon's overall supply chain goals, focusing on AWS and SCOT-based solutions. This includes identifying key areas for automation, prioritizing projects, and defining measurable success metrics.
• \tProject Leadership: Lead the full lifecycle of SCOT and AWS-powered automation projects, from ideation and requirements gathering to implementation and post-launch support. This includes managing project timelines, budgets, resources, and risks.
• \tAWS Technology Evaluation: Research and evaluate relevant AWS technologies, including AI/ML services like Amazon SageMaker, Amazon Comprehend, Amazon Rekognition, and other relevant solutions like AWS Lambda, Amazon S3, and Amazon EC2. Identify and recommend the best AWS services to meet our specific needs.
• \tSolution Design: Collaborate with engineering, operations, and other stakeholders to design and develop innovative automation solutions. This includes defining functional requirements, developing technical specifications, and overseeing the integration of new systems within the AWS ecosystem.
• \tStakeholder Management: Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders across the organization. Communicate project updates effectively and ensure alignment on goals and objectives.
• \tTeam Leadership: Mentor and develop automation capability in senior supply chain leaders and specialists. Provide guidance, support, and opportunities for growth, fostering expertise in AWS and SCOT technologies.
• \tContinuous Improvement: Monitor the performance of implemented automation solutions and identify opportunities for continuous improvement. Implement changes to optimize efficiency and effectiveness, leveraging analytics tools.
• \tVendor Management: Manage relationships with external vendors and suppliers of automation equipment and services, particularly those specializing in AWS integrations. Negotiate contracts and ensure timely delivery of high-quality products.
Basic Qualifications:
• \tBachelor's degree in Engineering, Supply Chain Management, or a related field.
• \t7+ years of experience in supply chain operations, with a focus on automation.
• \tProven track record of leading and implementing complex automation projects.
• \tStrong understanding of supply chain processes, including planning, warehousing, transportation, and fulfillment.
• \tExperience with AWS cloud computing platform and its core services (e.g., EC2, S3, Lambda).
• \tExcellent project management skills, including the ability to manage timelines, budgets, and resources.
• \tStrong communication, interpersonal, and leadership skills.
Preferred Qualifications:
• \tMaster's degree in Engineering, Supply Chain Management, or a related field.
• \tExperience working in a fast-paced, high-growth environment.
• \tDeep understanding of Amazon's supply chain operations.
• \tExperience with lean principles and methodologies.
• \tExperience with data analytics and visualization tools, particularly within the AWS ecosystem (e.g., Amazon QuickSight).
• \tExperience with AWS AI/ML services (e.g., Amazon SageMaker, Amazon Comprehend, Amazon Rekognition).
• \tAWS Certifications (e.g., AWS Certified Solutions Architect, AWS Certified Machine Learning - Specialty).
Key job responsibilities
The Supply Chain Automation and AI Program Senior Manager will have the following responsibilities
1.\tDrive Automation/AI solutions through a sprint mechanism. These ideas should produce savings in hours or cost. Maintain a system
2.\tDeliver Annual roadmap for complex projects that solves important Supply Chain challenges.
3.\tBuild Supply Chain AI/Automation capabilities to increase the base of the core team support and scale the program deliverables.
4.\tMaintain program dashboard and P0
5.\tProduce Monthly Program Update.
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
- 5+ years of technical product or program management experience
- 7+ years of working directly with engineering teams experience
- 3+ years of software development experience
- 5+ years of technical program management working directly with software engineering teams experience
- Experience managing programs across cross functional teams, building processes and coordinating release schedules
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
- 5+ years of project management disciplines including scope, schedule, budget, quality, along with risk and critical path management experience
- Experience managing projects across cross functional teams, building sustainable processes and coordinating release schedules
- Experience defining KPI's/SLA's used to drive multi-million dollar businesses and reporting to senior leadership
