On behalf of our client, a well-established hedge fund based in Hong Kong, we are seeking a Fund Operations & Trading Manager to join their fast-growing platform. This is a hybrid seat sitting at the intersection of trading and operations, supporting global cash equities and synthetic exposures within a sophisticated multi-prime brokerage environment.

Key Responsibilities:

Trading & Execution Oversight

• Work closely with the PM on daily execution flow across global cash equities and equity swaps.
• Ensure accurate trade capture, booking, timely matching, and settlement across counterparties.
• Act as a key control point between front office and infrastructure.

Prime Brokerage & Financing Optimisation

• Lead day-to-day engagement with Prime Brokers.
• Monitor and negotiate financing spreads, manage Hard-to-Borrow (HTB) costs, oversee stock loan dynamics, and optimise long/short balance to improve cost of carry and capital efficiency.

Synthetic & Complex Product Management

• Oversee the lifecycle management of synthetic equity products, including Total Return Swaps (TRS) and custom baskets.
• Ensure accurate resets, dividend adjustments, financing calculations, and counterparty reconciliations.

Risk & Regulatory Interface

• Manage operational regulatory filings and Blue Sheets.
• Act as a primary liaison on trade surveillance matters, short reporting, and position limit monitoring.

Shadow NAV & Audit Oversight

• Maintain and reconcile monthly shadow NAV. Lead the annual audit process and coordinate directly with external auditors to ensure a seamless audit cycle and clean opinion.

Treasury & Liquidity Management

• Oversee unencumbered cash and liquidity management.
• Optimise yield via money market instruments and repo while ensuring sufficient liquidity for margin, financing, and trading requirements.

Candidate Profile:

Academic & Professional Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or related quantitative discipline

Experience & Skill Set

• 5-10 years of relevant hedge fund experience across operations, trade support, or execution management
• Excel skills (VBA preferred); Python or SQL for reconciliation/reporting automation is advantageous
• Fluent in English; Cantonese and/or Mandarin preferred
