Description:The Visiting Professionals track of the Center for Information Technology (CITP) fellows' program is for professionals - academics and practitioners - who will be on leave from their job. These are typically nine-month appointments, commencing on or about September 1, 2025, but we are flexible, and positions can start anywhere between May 1, 2026 and October 1, 2026. Their primary appointment will be at the rank of "Visiting Research Scholar" or "Visiting Professional Specialist" depending on experience. Requirements:*The work location for this position is in-person on campus at Princeton University *Advanced degree such as M.A., Ph.D. or J.D. *Applicants must be on leave from another institution. If you are selected, we will require documentation from your home institution stating that you are on leave during your entire appointment period while here at CITP. Selected candidates will be asked to indicate what percentage of financial support their home institution and other sources are likely to provide during their visit, if any. Written proof of employment and salary verification must be provided by the candidate's home institution for the appointment time period while at CITP. Expected Salary Range: Salary is dependent on and can be up to the candidate's current full salary at their home institution.
The University considers factors such as (but not limited to) scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate's qualifications, work experience, education/training, key skills, market, collective bargaining agreements as applicable, and organizational considerations when extending an offer. The posted salary range represents the University's good faith and reasonable estimate for a full-time position; salaries for part-time positions are pro-rated accordingly.
