This position assists the Sustainability Director with a variety of district-wide projects and programs. Project Manager owns project launch, planning, control, and delivery against timeline and budget metrics for assignments within their area of responsibility. Participate in new processes related to the new regulations. Supports department leadership in studying new and proposed sustainable programs.
Responsibilities:
Drives projects such as reducing greenhouse gas emissions, improving energy efficiency, implementing green building practices, managing corporate sustainability reports, or orchestrating large-scale transitions to renewable energy.
Ensure each project aligns with broader sustainability strategies or environmental commitments. These may include corporate net-zero goals, environmental certifications, or compliance with environmental regulations.
Communicates project progress, sustainability benefits, and potential risks effectively to all parties involved
Researching and staying updated on industry best practices, and trends related to sustainability.
Engaging with external partners, suppliers, and stakeholders to promote sustainable practices throughout the supply chain.
Identifying and evaluating sustainability risks and opportunities that could impact on the organization's long-term viability and reputation.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree
2-5 years experience
Experience in Project Management
Intermediate communication and facilitation skills
Intermediate presentation skills. Demonstrated comfort in presenting to peer level or one level up cross functional audiences
Demonstrated working knowledge of fundamentals with project management approaches, tools and methodologies. PMP certification preferred or in progress
Intermediate skills in PC based documentation tools including MS Office and MS Project
Intermediate skills in delegation and follow up
Demonstrated working knowledge/experience of technical business unit assigned to (Engineering, Supply Chain, etc.)
