Visiting Professor of Computer Science (One-Year Appointment) School of Science and Engineering Al Akhawayn University in Ifrane (AUI), Morocco
The School of Science and Engineering at Al Akhawayn University in Ifrane (AUI) invites applications for up to two Visiting Professor positions in Computer Science for appointments of up to one academic year. The positions are open broadly within Computer Science, with preference given to candidates specializing in Artificial Intelligence, Cybersecurity, Cloud Computing, or Software Engineering.

Al Akhawayn University is accredited by the New England Commission of Higher Education (NECHE), and several degree programs within the School of Science and Engineering are ABET accredited. As an American-style institution operating in English, AUI holds a distinctive position in Morocco and the broader MENA region.
The University is pursuing an ambitious strategic plan to expand enrollment to 5,000 students by 2030 while strengthening academic quality and research capacity.
Located in Ifrane in Morocco’s Middle Atlas Mountains, approximately one hour from the historic cities of Fez and Meknes, the University offers a safe, family-friendly environment and a high quality of life. An American-style K–12 school is affiliated with the University.

Responsibilities
The successful candidates will:
Teach undergraduate and, where appropriate, advanced courses in areas such as Software Engineering, Cloud Computing, DevOps, Software Testing, Big Data Analytics, and Artificial Intelligence (including Machine Learning and Deep Learning).
Support the development of Computer Science specializations and minors within the School.
Contribute expertise in advanced or emerging areas such as Computer Vision, Human–Computer Interaction, Web Mining, Large Language Models, and/or Data Visualization.
Engage constructively with faculty and students in a liberal arts teaching environment.
As AUI serves students from a wide range of academic disciplines, visiting faculty are expected to teach and mentor students beyond computing majors.
Qualifications
Ph.D. in Computer Science or a closely related field.
Current or previous appointment at the rank of Full Professor (or equivalent senior academic rank).
Demonstrated record of excellence in teaching and research.
Ability to teach a broad range of undergraduate Computer Science courses.
