Job Summary
Our client is seeking to hire a Project Manager Construction to lead the planning, execution, and successful delivery of structural steel and metal fabrication/installation projects. The role involves overseeing multiple project schedules, budgets, and quality standards while coordinating with engineers, architects, general contractors, subcontractors, and field teams. The ideal candidate will have deep knowledge of steel construction , fabrication, and international industry codes, with a proven track record of delivering commercial and industrial projects on time and within budget.
Key Responsibilities
Project Planning & Execution
Develop and manage detailed project schedules, budgets, and work plans.
Coordinate pre-construction activities including shop drawing reviews, submittals, and RFIs.
Ensure all phases of steel fabrication and installation meet quality, safety, and compliance standards.
Financial & Contract Management
Review and negotiate project contracts, supplier agreements, and subcontractor scopes. Monitor and control project costs, prepare progress reports, and manage change orders. Ensure projects are delivered profitably while maintaining client satisfaction. Team & Stakeholder Leadership Lead, mentor, and support site superintendents, foremen, and field crews. Serve as the primary point of contact with clients, General Contractors, engineers, estimators, and other stakeholders. Foster strong relationships with partners to drive repeat business. Safety & Compliance Enforce OSHA and company safety standards across job sites. Conduct risk assessments and ensure projects comply with building codes and regulatory requirements. Project Close-Out Oversee punch lists, final inspections, and warranty documentation. Deliver accurate close-out packages and ensure client satisfaction. Requirements Technical Skills: Strong knowledge of structural steel design, fabrication, and erection practices. Proven experience with steel/metal construction projects. Proficiency in project management tools (MS Project, Planner, Bluebeam, or equivalent). Ability to interpret structural drawings, shop drawings, and specifications. Strong understanding of safety regulations and quality standards. Soft Skills: Excellent communication and negotiation skills. Strong leadership, organizational, and time-management abilities. Detail-oriented with proven problem-solving skills under tight deadlines. Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously. Preferred Qualifications: Bachelors degree in Civil engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Construction Management, or related field. PMP certification or equivalent is a plus. MBA or equivalent is a plus. 10+ years of project management experience in commercial and industrial construction with an international organization Track record of successfully managing teams and delivering complex projects.
