Job Summary:
The Regional Manager leads high-performing sales and service teams to deliver strategic outcomes in loan growth, member acquisition, exceptional service, and business partner referrals-directly supporting the organization's goals for expansion, engagement, and operational excellence.
As a key contributor to the Coastal team, your responsibilities will be:
(30%) Leadership & Team Development
Coach and mentor managers and staff on building strong engagement and professional growth to foster a high-performing, advisory-focused culture
Analyze current business practices, identify areas for improvement, make recommendations, and implement changes accordingly
(30%) Sales & Business Growth
Collaborate with senior leadership to develop and implement regional strategies aligned with organizational goals to drive loan production, checking account penetration, and member growth
Monitor performance metrics and implement initiatives to exceed sales goals
Increase referral generation to business partners and cross functional teams by coaching in identifying potential member needs and in taking a holistic approach to sales
Create an annual business plan to guide your teams in executing Coastal's financial and service goals and increase member loyalty scores
Build awareness of Coastal in the market through outreach to SEG's and community partners
(20%) Member Experience & Service Excellence
Ensure delivery of world-class member service across all branches by evaluating member surveys and member loyalty scores and taking action accordingly
Promote a culture of trusted financial advisors and personalized member engagement to always do what's right for the member
Resolve escalated member concerns and support service recovery efforts
Coordinate branch coverage to ensure consistent service delivery
Track member feedback and implement changes to improve satisfaction
(10%) Risk Management & Compliance
Ensure branches operate in accordance with Credit Union policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements
Conduct audits and implement corrective actions as needed
Ensure staff proficiency in Coastal lending guidelines, policies, and procedures
Keep staff up to date on fraud detection skills and patterns
Build strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders to ensure cross collaboration resulting in superior member service
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align regional goals with organizational strategy

Experience:
Ten years of sales management experience in a financial institution, including account opening and loan origination
Education:
Related bachelor's degree or additional equivalent experience
Essential cognitive/physical/social requirements of position:
Must be able to learn and retain information; resolve problems and think sequentially; remain in a stationary position; constantly operate a computer; travel independently; work in outdoor weather conditions; and converse with others on a continual basis.
