- Assistant Athletic Director of Sport Performance
Description
The primary responsibility of this position is to provide strength and conditioning performance coaching expertise to multiple intercollegiate athletics sports, excluding FOOTBALL. Additional responsibilities include, but are not limited to, oversight of identified strength coaching staff, oversight of the Sport Performance budget, oversight of the Carin Center schedule, coordinate the purchase, repair and replacement of strength equipment, ensure staff completion of required continuing education requirements, and serve as a liaison with the Patton College of Education Coaching Education Master’s program. The position exists to improve the overall strength and conditioning of student-athletes, the prevention of injuries, and increase athletic performance.
Requirements
Master’s degree in a related field, 8 or more years of related professional experience, and 5 or more years of supervisory experience, or equivalent education and experience. Must be certified and maintain certification through a nationally accredited strength and conditioning certification program.
