Purpose
Supporting the Director, ROW, oversees the efficiency of offices and profitability within a business unit.
Key Responsibilities
Leadership and Direction
In conjunction with Director, ROW, provide oversight and guidance to ROW project personnel within a business unit including developing strategy, budgets, staff, and project deliverables.
Provide effective leadership, aiding Director, ROW in developing and maintaining positive and productive work environments with customers, clients, co-workers, and supervisors.
At the Operational and Company Level
Assist Director, ROW in developing and implementing effective systems for improving internal and external quality, cost improvements, and on-time delivery to meet or exceed client requirements.
Coordinate with other internal departments to meet project requirements.
Serve as technical advisor by providing senior level input and evaluation on projects.
Assist with the marketing of the firm’s capabilities to establish new clients and enhance relationships.
Do the Work
Working closely with Director, ROW, identify operational deficiencies and implement plans for improvement.
Analyze and interpret financial and operational metrics and develop recommendations.
Assist in leading weekly / quarterly management meetings, calls, and ad-hoc strategy discussions.
Supervise work of all ROW project personnel to ensure it meets the highest professional standards.
Assist Director, ROW, in establishing processes to review and plan daily, weekly, and quarterly labor to meet or exceed department productivity targets.
Conduct project reviews.
Create and maintain weekly reports on operations and revenue for the department within a Business Unit.
Assist Director, ROW, in analyzing variable labor costs. Ensure resource availability based on the opportunity pipeline and project schedules.
Working closely with Director, ROW, provide guidance with hiring and developing staff. Support cross-training to ensure the elimination of skill gaps, creating a more skilled and adaptable workforce.

Requirements
Education, Work Experience, Licensure/Certifications, and Technical Requirements
High School Diploma or equivalent GED required. Bachelor’s degree preferred.
Ten or more (10+) years in all aspects of land, right of way, easement acquisition, title research, or comparable industry related education.
Knowledge in all aspects of Right of Way, including project management, acquisition, title, permitting, budgeting, cost forecasting, operation, due diligence, public relations, community outreach and solid understanding of general regulatory, eminent domain, and legal issues.
Demonstrated experience in successfully managing the financial, marketing, human resources, and operational aspects of land department.
Experience reading construction / engineering or related design plans/profiles.
Intermediate to advanced use of Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
