Description
The Department of Mathematics at the University of Missouri-Columbia invites applications for two (2) tenure-track assistant professor positions to begin in Fall 2027: one in Analysis/Partial Differential Equations, and one in Applied/Computational Mathematics.
For the position in Analysis/PDEs, we encourage a broad range of applicants working in analysis and its various subfields. For the position in Applied/Computational Mathematics, we welcome a broad pool of applicants, such as those working in artificial intelligence, data science, or scientific computing. For both positions, we are looking for research excellence. A willingness to collaborate with other department members or to engage in interdisciplinary collaborations is a plus. Successful candidates will be expected to maintain a vigorous research program, pursue external funding, and teach undergraduate and graduate courses in mathematics, including supervision of master's and doctoral students.
