Thematic Research Areas

1.      Intelligent Bioengineering

• Focuses on combining sensing, imaging, characterization, and manufacturing technologies for new biomedical applications.
• Key Research Fields:
  • AI-driven advanced biosensing or imaging technologies.
  • Novel bio-manufacturing techniques.
  • Development of micro-environment control platforms.
  • Translational research for clinical and biotech industry applications.
• Qualifications: PhD in Biomedical Engineering, EE/CS, Materials Science, Biotechnology, or related fields. Interdisciplinary experience in AI and biomedicine is highly preferred.

2.      Green Technology

• Focuses on nanotechnology and engineering innovation to address energy and environmental challenges.
• Key Research Fields:
  • New energy technologies and renewable energy.
  • Energy storage, production, and saving technologies.
  • Nano-devices for sustainable energy applications.
• Qualifications: PhD in Materials Science, Energy Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Nanotechnology, Chemistry, or Physics. Experience in renewable energy or storage materials is preferred.

3.      Quantum Photonics

• Dedicated to developing key materials and components for quantum computing, communication, and sensing.
• Key Research Fields:
  • Quantum light sources and single-photon detector technologies.
  • New quantum optoelectronic components.
  • Materials and technologies for quantum information science.
• Qualifications: PhD in Physics, Photonics Engineering, Materials Science, Applied Physics, or Quantum Information. Practical experience in low-temperature optical measurement or TCSPC systems is a plus.
