Description
The Southern Illinois University School of Dental Medicine is seeking applications for a full-time tenure or clinical track position at the Assistant/Associate Professor level in the Department of Prosthodontics and Endodontics. Responsibilities include didactic and clinical teaching in the pre-doctoral program, with an emphasis on Removable & Fixed Prosthodontics, and service to the University. As programs expand, participation in graduate education while helping advance the department's mission through innovation, collaboration, and academic excellence. For tenure-track appointments, independent research and scholarly activity is also expected. Working in collaboration with other faculty, both in research and teaching, is strongly encouraged. Extramural/intramural faculty practice is available.

Qualifications
A D.M.D. or D.D.S. degree (or foreign equivalent) is required. Specialty training in prosthodontics from a CODA accredited postgraduate program is preferred. Candidates who are board certified or board eligible by the American Board of Prosthodontics are preferred. Candidates holding an MS degree are preferred. Demonstrated interest and experience in teaching and research are desired. Applicants must be licensed to practice dentistry in the state of Illinois, or be able to meet the requirements for Illinois licensure. Academic rank and salary will be commensurate with experience and qualifications.
