Description
About All Souls and the Building Bridges Initiative
For more than 26 years, Rev. Dr. Marlin Lavanhar has led All Souls Unitarian Church in Tulsa, Oklahoma, building a vibrant, justice-centered, pluralistic community in a predominantly conservative region.
The Building Bridges Initiative seeks to bring that voice into the wider national conversation. Grounded in the conviction that stories bridge distances and that people with different starting points can often reach similar destinations, the initiative aims to foster thoughtful dialogue across difference.
The target audience is pluralistic—center-left and center-right Americans of all ages and faiths who are seeking thoughtful, values-driven engagement across ideological, religious, and cultural divides. This is not primarily a religious media project. It is a civic one.
Position Summary
We are seeking a creative, entrepreneurial partner who can help transform sermons, conversations, and public commentary into a growing national platform.
The Executive Producer will serve as a true strategic partner to Rev. Dr. Marlin Lavanhar in building and executing a multi-channel content strategy designed to expand the reach and influence of the Building Bridges Initiative.
During the first six months, the focus will be on establishing a reliable, high-quality rhythm across two to three priority channels. Over the following year, the initiative will expand through new channels, collaborations, and infrastructure for amplification. The long-term aim is to build a substantial national audience, deepen engagement across multiple platforms, and establish a durable network of collaborators and media relationships.
This position offers the opportunity to help shape something from the ground up and to play a key role in building a distinctive voice in American public life.
Successful applicants may be local, or hybrid with the ability to travel to Tulsa, as needed.
