Description
The Community Engagement Director serves as a brand ambassador for Peppers Ranch Foster Care Community by building meaningful relationships throughout the community and advancing the mission of supporting foster children and families across Oklahoma.
This role focuses on volunteer coordination, foster family recruitment and support, community partnerships, advocacy, and public engagement. The Community Engagement Director works closely with staff, foster families, volunteers, and community stakeholders to strengthen awareness, engagement, and support for the Ranch.
This position includes occasional evening events and approximately half of Saturdays each month to support volunteer groups, community outreach efforts, family engagement activities, and special events.
Key Responsibilities
Serve as a public-facing representative and advocate for Peppers Ranch Foster Care Community.
Recruit, support, and engage volunteers, foster families, and community partners.
Coordinate volunteer groups and community engagement opportunities both on and off the Ranch.
Recruit experienced foster and adoptive families interested in living at Peppers Ranch.
Build intentional relationships with foster and adoptive families living at the Ranch through ongoing support, meaningful connection, and engagement opportunities.
Represent Peppers Ranch through speaking engagements, tours, community presentations, local events and advocacy efforts.
Develop strategic partnerships with local organizations, businesses, churches, schools, civic groups, and community leaders.
Help strengthen visibility and awareness of Peppers Ranch through innovative community outreach and engagement strategies.
Ideal Candidate
Strong relationship-building and communication skills
Passion for foster care, child advocacy, and community engagement
Comfortable with public speaking and representing the organization in professional and community settings
Organized, self-motivated, and flexible in a dynamic nonprofit environment
Ability to work collaboratively with families, volunteers, staff, and community stakeholders
Willingness to work occasional evenings and weekend events as needed
