What You'll do
Provide strategic leadership and day-to-day oversight of the Day Habilitation Program, ensuring the delivery of high-quality, person-centered services that promote participant choice, independence, dignity, and meaningful community inclusion. Lead program planning, development, implementation, and continuous quality improvement while ensuring compliance with MassHealth regulations, accreditation standards, and KDC policies. Oversee program operations, including budgeting, resource management, reporting, staffing, and the maintenance of a safe, welcoming, and therapeutic environment. Recruit, supervise, coach, and develop a multidisciplinary team, fostering a collaborative, inclusive, and accountable culture with appropriate staffing and ongoing professional development. Guide participant admissions, assessments, service planning, goal development, programming, and discharge planning while promoting strong interdisciplinary collaboration and individualized supports. Ensure accurate documentation and regulatory compliance while building meaningful partnerships with families, caregivers, DDS, healthcare providers, and community organizations to strengthen services, expand community engagement opportunities, and represent KDC as a trusted community partner.
This position is based primarily within the Day Habilitation Program and includes time spent in office settings, program spaces, and community locations. The Director works closely with participants, families, multidisciplinary staff, regulatory agencies, and community partners while balancing program operations, staff leadership, and strategic planning. Flexibility, strong organizational skills, and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, mission-driven environment are essential.

Requirements
Required:
- Bachelor's degree in Psychology, Special Education, or a related field with at least five years of experience in case management, service coordination, or case review within healthcare or human services.
- Experience supporting individuals with developmental disabilities.
- Previous supervisory or leadership experience in a health or human services setting.
- Experience using Electronic Health Records (EHR) and Microsoft Office applications.
- Strong communication, organizational, and leadership skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team.
- Ability to obtain and maintain CPR/First Aid and SafetyCare certifications.
- Valid driver's license with reliable transportation.
