Bring your leadership and appetite for service as the Director of Nutritional Services at Samaritan Healthcare in scenic Moses Lake, Washington!
The Position
- The Director of Nutrition Services will be responsible for planning, organizing, managing, and coordinating the operations of the Nutrition Services Department, ensuring compliance with local, state, and federal regulations, DNV standards, and organizational policies.
- Reporting to the Chief Human Resources Officer, this leader will oversee a team of five direct reports and 30 FTEs.
- This leader will be responsible for revamping the catering program, balancing offerings with dietary restrictions, and refreshing the menu to elevate the overall patient experience.
- Ideal candidates will possess a strong culinary background and proven leadership skills. This individual must be highly collaborative, organized, and adept at building relationships across all levels of staff, while effectively coaching and managing personnel to drive team success.
- This role presents significant executive-level growth potential, with the organization rapidly expanding and building a new hospital to support its continued development.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree required; Master’s degree preferred.
- Certified Executive Chef or CDM (Certified Dietary Manager) preferred.
- Minimum of five years of experience in nutrition/food services required, including at least two years in a leadership role. Healthcare experience required.
Compensation Range
- The base salary range for this position is $113,000 to $149,000 annually. In addition, a leader may be eligible for other benefits, including but not limited to health insurance coverage, retirement benefits, and bonuses. The total compensation for the finalist selected for this role will be determined based on various factors, including but not limited to scope of role, level of experience, education, accomplishments, internal equity, budget, and subject to Fair Market Value evaluation. The base salary range listed above is a good faith determination of potential base compensation at the time of this job advertisement and may be modified in the future.

- Known as the Desert Oasis, Moses Lake and the surrounding area of Grant County is located in the heart of the Columbia Basin in Central Washington. With a Service Area Population of 54,000 people, livable is best way to describe the community.
- Fishing, waterskiing, canoeing, and kayaking are some of the activities available without leaving the city limits. Moses Lake also has a large community Aquatic Center. Other recreational activities in the area include biking, ice-skating, hunting, and snow skiing.
- Moderate four-season climate weather pattern with average minimum December temperatures of 23 degrees and average summer maximum of 87 degrees and 300 plus days of sunshine makes for comfortable living.
