Description

The Special Services Director assists the Executive Director of Special Services in the leadership of special education programs consistent with federal and state laws, rules and regulations and district policies and procedures. 

Requirements

• Current Washington State Administrator Certificate with Principal or Program Administrator endorsement
• Three year special education teaching/administrative or any combination of education, experience, and training which provides the applicant with the knowledge, skills, and ability to perform the work and to meet the certification requirements.
• Demonstrated knowledge of special needs issues including laws, regulations, and professional practices and a willingness to keep abreast of same.
