Baylor College of Medicine is seeking a full-time Retina Specialist to join our national recognized Department of Ophthalmology. This position is open at the Assistant, Associate or Full Professor level, commensurate with experience and qualifications.

Requirements

Qualifications

• MD or DO degree (or equivalent)
• Completion of an accredited ophthalmology residency
• Fellowship training in vitreretinal surgery
• Board certification in ophthalmology
• Commitment to excellence in patient care and education

The selected candidate will provide comprehensive medical and surgical retina care across one or more Baylor-affiliated clinical sites, including:

• Alkek Eye Center
• Michael E. DeBakey VA Medical Center
• Ben Taub Hospital (Harris Health System)

Key Responsibilities

• Deliver high-quality medical and surgical retina care to a diverse patient population with a broad spectrum of retinal pathology
• Actively engage in the education and mentorship of residents and fellows
• Research involvement is highly encouraged but not mandatory
